You can create a new page within a website with just a few essential information. Your page is set as Draft and you need to publish it by using the Publish button on the page. Right click on the page or click on the more menu on the top right. This will give you options including Publish and if you select Publish your page will be live. You can keep your page as Draft for as long as you would like and it will not be displayed on the website.
Name - Name the page just as you would like so you can identify it easily
URL - This is the relative URL and does not include the domain name. Home page has / and the URL should begin with / such as /contact or /products/new
Type - Type of page is presently only content and this needs to be selected
Key - Key is a unique word without space or special characters that you can use to identify the page within the code
Description - Write notes or description for your reference, these are not displayed on the website
Meta Title - For good SEO you should have a unique meta title (preferrably less than 60-65 characters). The meta title displays in the browser bar and also in the head of the page source
Meta Description - A meta description helps with SEO and should contain the keywords that are present in the page. Meta description is not visible to the user and can only be read through page source. Search engines use the meta description to describe the page in their listings. Less than 150 characters for best impact.
Canonical - To help search engines identify pages that have the same content but not consider them to be duplicate the canonical URL gives the search engine the URL to assign the content of this page to
Head - You can add additional text and data to the head section of the page here
Text - The actual HTML content for hte page should be entered here. This will include text, HTML tags, CSS styles and JavaScript.
To save your page you only need a Name, URL and Type. Adding the other information makes your page more organized and SEO ready.
